World Sanskrit Day Celebration
World Sanskrit Day was celebrated in the institute on 21st Aug 2024. The chief guest for the program was Prof. T N Prabhakar, Retd. Additional Director, Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Karnataka, Bengaluru. The program was presided by Dr. Prasanna N Rao, Principal of the institute. Dr. Shailaja U, Vice Principal, Dr. Prakash L Hegde, PG Dean Academics, Dr. Vinaykumar R Kadibagil, UG Dean Academics, Dr. Srinath M Vaidya, Prof & Head, Dept. of Samhita & Siddhanta and Sri Ishwar Prasad, Asst. Prof, Sanskrit were on the dais. Faculty and students attended the program.
A speech on importance of Sanskrit was given by UG student. A skit in Sanskrit, songs and samskrita patana (shloka recitation) were held. Prof. T N Prabhakar spoke on the importance of Sanskrit language; he opined that various researchers in sanskrit are present and called upon the youth to adopt the language in daily conversation. He emphasized that Sanskrit is a vibrant source of intellectual and cultural wealth.
