“World Breast feeding Week” program was organized by the Department of Kaumarabhritya, Dept. of Prasuti Tantra & NSS Unit on 1st August 2019. The “Importance of breast feeding” was highlighted by the Chief guest for the program Dr. Kirana KV, Gynecologist, Community Health Centre, Shantigram, Hassan. Talks were given on various topics to create awareness about breast feeding, Ayurvedic measures to enhance breast milk by Dr. Shailaja U, Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya, talk on Feeding difficulties and their management by Dr. Gayathri Bhat, Professor, Department of Prasuti Tantra & Breast feeding techniques by Dr. Vijayalakshmi Mallanavar, Associate Professor, Department of Kaumarabhritya. The program was presided by Dr. Prasanna N Rao, Principal, SDMCAH, Hassan.
