The Student Council of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Hassan, celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 September 2026 with great fervor and reverence, honoring the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives and careers of students. The celebration was held at the Seminar Hall from 3:00 PM onwards and commenced with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty and students.

The programme featured a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, inauguration by the dignitaries, and a special “Impact Guru” segment and token of gratitude. The event was graced by Dr. Ramesh Poundel, Assistant Professor, Department of Shalya Tantra, Government Institution for Ayurvedic Higher Education, Kathmandu, Tribhuvan University, as the Guest of Honour. Addresses by Dr. Shailaja U, Principal, and Dr. Prasanna Narasimha Rao, Director, added significance to the occasion.

Students expressed their respect and gratitude through Guru Namana, a video message from alumni, and Guru Vandana to Dr. Prasanna Narasimha Rao, Director, SDM Ayurveda Institutes. The celebration also included a special talent presentation by teachers, making the occasion a joyful and memorable tribute to the teaching fraternity. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a heartfelt celebration of the enduring bond between Guru and Shishya.
