PG Scholars of SDM College of Ayurveda Secure National-Level Prizes

The Postgraduate Scholars of the Department of Ayurveda Samhita & Siddhanta, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan, brought laurels to the institution by securing prizes in two national-level paper presentation competitions held on 11 August 2026, highlighting the department’s commitment to research and academic excellence in Ayurveda.

As part of Charakavani 2026, organised by Vishnu Ayurveda College, Shoranur, Kerala, on the occasion of Charaka Jayanti, a National-Level Online Paper Presentation Competition was conducted on the theme “Research in Ayurveda: Scope, Challenges and Solutions.” Dr. Neelavati Pattan, 2nd Year PG Scholar, presented “Review on Emerging Clinical Evidence of Vamana Dravyas Described in Charaka Kalpa Sthana: Scope and Challenges in Ayurveda Research” under the guidance of Dr. Haroon Irshad, Professor, and secured the Third Prize.

At Kavacha 2026, organised by Alvas Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Vidyagiri, Moodubidire, a National-Level Paper Presentation Competition was held on the theme “Panchakarma and Chronobiology.” Dr. Nithyashree V, 2nd Year PG Scholar, presented “Agni Dynamics and Chrononutrition in the Prevention and Management of Arshas” under the guidance of Dr. Chetan M, Professor and Head, Department of Ayurveda Samhita & Siddhanta, SDMCAH Hassan, and secured the Second Prize.
