Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan, celebrated Gowri Ganesh Chaturthi in the esteemed presence of Director Dr. Prasanna Narasimha Rao and Principal Dr. Shailaja U. The programme was jointly organized by the Departments of Ayurveda Samhita & Siddhanta, Rachana Shareera and Panchakarma

The celebrations commenced with Gowri Ganesh Pratisthapana at the Hospital, performed as per traditional rituals. Teaching and non-teaching staff, students, nursing personnel and patients participated in the pooja.

The occasion was accompanied by bhajans presented by Postgraduates, Interns, Undergraduates and Therapists, along with songs by children, adding to the festive atmosphere.

In the afternoon, the traditional Katte Pooje commenced with Kunita Bhajane at the Hospital. The Ganesha procession then moved through Yogakshema, Hallada Rameshwara Temple, Hemavathi Girls’ Hostel, Harsha Boys’ Hostel, Staff Quarters and the College. Pooja was performed at each location, followed by distribution of prasada.

The procession featured cultural dances and Kunita Bhajane, reflecting the rich cultural traditions associated with the festival. It concluded at the College Ground with Ganesha Visarjan.

The Katte Pooje brought together members of the SDM community across the institution, fostering a sense of unity and collective participation. The celebration concluded with prayers to Lord Ganesha for the well-being and prosperity of the entire SDM family.
